On September 5th 2018, ROBLOX targeted a large amount of its users by adding ingame ads on most games for free. Players would be given an ad in the bottom right corner of their screen with the option of clicking it to see more games. This is very similar to how Facebook and Google ads work, however, the Roblox ads cannot be clicked on and are only meant as a distraction. Users would need to leave the game before seeing the ad again or wait until they lose interest in playing any other game. The new system was rolled out in large parts making users question ROBLOX's integrity as a company.

The player would then be able to collect the card and have it autoclaimed as soon as they logged into Roblox. Codes could be used to redeem the extra Robux and Builders Club.
